What Is CEF? Christian Educators Fellowship is a group of peers sharing ideas and resources as well as providing information, networking, and support to others working in the field of Christian Education and Discipleship. CEF is a great place to connect with the latest training opportunities on a local, state, and national level. Opportunities For Members of Iowa CEF Include: State wide day-long and overnight retreats held in May and October Networking e-mails through Ia CEF listserv. WHY JOIN CEF? Christian Educators Fellowship of The United Methodist Church is a professional organization for individuals- not agencies or institutions, positions, or places of employment. The organization supports the individual. Membership in CEF says: I believe in the profession of Christian education and formation. I believe in the ministry of Christian education and formation in the church. I want to make public my commitment to the ministry of Christian education and formation. I want to help shape the foundation and the future of my profession. I want to be a decision-maker in the profession and in the development of the ministry of Christian education and formation. I want to support my personal and professional growth as a person committed to Christian education and formation.
