.Announcing Christian Education 102! A Ministry of the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church What? Christian Education 101 (CE 102) is a weekend session providing training and information in the area of Christian Education and Spiritual Formation for all ages. Christian Education 102 is the second of a series of four weekend sessions offered over the course of two years. Each weekend will be a stand-alone session. Participants who complete all four weekends will receive a certificate of completion from the Academy of Christian Education. When and Where? September 30-October 2, 2011 at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center. Who? CE 102 is for everyone interested in Christian Education! CE 102 will provide training and resources helpful for those who are beginning to be involved in Christian Education, as well as for those who have been engaged in the ministry of Christian Education for some time. What does it cost? $300 for the first session attended and $200 for each subsequent session you attend. Wait! Does this sound like a lot of money? Here’s what you (and your church) will receive for your money: · o Presentations from qualified instructors · o A wealth of information covering topics relevant to Christian Education and Spiritual Formation · o An opportunity to meet and network with other Christian Educators · o All lodging and meals for the weekend · o Two to four books pertaining to the topics presented during the weekend that are yours to keep and add to your reference library Also! In addition to funds available at your local church, there are scholarship funds available from Christian Educator’s Fellowship and the Board of Laity. How do I register?
